Mala Waldron on Piano & Vocals, James Cammack on Bass and Frank Belushi on Drums.
Mala Waldron is a native of NYC whose first paid gig playing keys and singing back-up vocals with a local R&B band, "Liquid Pleasure" at the Elk's club at age 15. Shortly after, they were signed to a record deal with RCA records (Midland International.) She later enrolled at SUNY, Old Westbury to study jazz piano, voice & composition.
Mala's music career has taken her all over the world. She has performed on some of NYC's most prestigious stages, including the Iridium, the Blue Note, the Jazz Standard, the 55 Bar, Brooklyn's BAM Cafe, and most recently in Washington DC at the Kennedy Center (Millennium Stage.) Mala is the Daughter of Mal Waldron, Pianist/Composer and Goddaughter to the Late Great Billie Holiday.
