Noriko Ueda, a native from Hyogo,Japan began her music career studying classical piano at age four. At 16 she gravitated to the electric bass, and at age 18, fell in love the upright Bass. A match made in Jazz Heaven!!! Her accolades are too numerous to mention.
Since landing in New York in 1997, Noriko's list of historical venues include: Carnegie Hall,The Blue Note,Jazz at Lincoln Center, Dizzy's Club Coca-Cola,Birdland, Smalls,Grasso's and so many more
She has also toured and recorded with legenday likes of Frank Wess Quintet, Grady Tate Band,Ted Rosenthal Trio,Sherrie Maricle and the DIVA Jazz Orchestra and Five Play.
In 2014 her big band arrangement of "This Land is Your Land" was featured in the Macy's 4th of July fireworks which was broadcast on CBS. Noriko Ueda on Bass and Art Hirahara on Piano
