Robert LePley with Roger Hines and Sarah Partridge

Robert will be performing with RAY CHARLES’ LAST BASS PLAYER, THE GREAT ROGER HINES, and with the FABULOUS JAZZ VOCALIST SARAH PARTRIDGE! Mr. Hines was my roommate in Columbus and then he went on to tour and record with the legendary singer Ray Charles for 7 years. Currently, he tours with jazz vocalist Diane Schuur. Ms. Partridge has toured in the US and in Europe and has five recordings to her credit -the most recent is “Bright Lights & Promises: Redefining Janis Ian”. With this recording, she has expanded the possibilities for jazz vocalists by bringing the pop/folk idiom into the jazz fold.

Mr. Lepley has performed with some of the legendary big bands such as the Glen Miller and Bob Crosby Orchestras, and with well-known contemporary jazz musicians such as Sonny Fortune, Eddie Daniels, and Joe Lovano. He has also had a long and successful career as a composer, arranger, and recording artist. He composed music for the theatre while living in Greenwich Village, and has recorded with jazz singers and instrumentalists over the years. Recently featured in Newsday, Mr. Lepley announced the release of his new CD, "MacDougal St., NYC"
