Robert LePley Featuring Roberta Lawrence

Roberta Lawrence is a singer, songwriter and producer. She has co-written original songs with her late jazz trumpeter husband, Mike Lawrence. With roots deeply embedded in the storytelling tradition. Ms. Lawrence's music reflects the diverse musical universe she has been privileged to inhabit, one where she has had the honor of appearing on musical projects with such notable artists as Herbie Hancock, Bob James, Mike Lawrence, and Donald Harrison. She is also the producer of the contemporary jazz recording, "Nightwind".

Mr. Lepley has performed with some of the legendary big bands such as the Glen Miller and Bob Crosby Orchestras, and with well-known contemporary jazz musicians such as Sonny Fortune, Eddie Daniels, and Joe Lovano. He has also had a long and successful career as a composer, arranger, and recording artist. He composed music for the theatre while living in Greenwich Village, and has recorded with jazz singers and instrumentalists over the years. Recently featured in Newsday, Mr. Lepley announced the release of his new CD, "MacDougal St., NYC"
