Robert LePley featuring Sarah Turkiew

Ms.Turkiew is a rare musician with the kind of SUPER POWERS to be able to play from memory every jazz tune that Charlie “Bird” Parker ever wrote! She’s just finished her first recording consisting of her own compositions plus her amazing arrangement of John Coltrane’s “Giant Steps”. Her playing is fresh and new. You gotta check her out!

Mr. Lepley has performed with some of the legendary big bands such as the Glen Miller and Bob Crosby Orchestras, and with well-known contemporary jazz musicians such as Sonny Fortune, Eddie Daniels, and Joe Lovano. He has also had a long and successful career as a composer, arranger, and recording artist. He composed music for the theatre while living in Greenwich Village, and has recorded with jazz singers and instrumentalists over the years. Recently featured in Newsday, Mr. Lepley announced the release of his new CD, "MacDougal St., NYC". Joining Robert is  Jim Cammack on Bass and Stephanie Hoeowitz on Vocals.
