Jim Cammack and Yayoi Ikawa

Happy Father's Day !

Dad deserves a break from the BBQ so bring him in for Chef Tony's awesome food and our incredible Music and you will have one Happy Dad!

When you hear  James Cammack play the bass you will marvel at his originality and virtuosic approach to the instrument. And it's no wonder, for over 30 years, James Cammack has been a regular member of and performed continuously with the legendary pianist Ahmad Jamal.  A great music associate, pianist and mentor, the late Frank Richmond, mentioned Cammack’s name to Ahmad Jamal, who snapped him up right after West Point.   Cammack has visited more than 30 countries backing Jamal and has also toured with singer Nancy Wilson, tubist Howard Johnson, and singer Vanessa Rubin.

The last few years, James has been leading his own band and a high in demand sideman in the New York City scene.  James Cammack is a master bassist.

Yayoi Ikawa on Piano.  Yayoi has performed locally in New York area, and toured nationally as well as internationally. When appearing in Ford del jazz festival in Italy with her trio, Yayoi surprised the audience with her neo-jazz New York sound.

Born in Tokyo, Japan, but raised musically in New York, Yayoi can be defined as a pure expression of New York modern jazz, not only has she lived in the metropolis for eight years, but also because her taste, sound, and energy are rooted in that area.

Yayoi is energetic, passionate for creativity, curious to collaborate with fellow musicians and people from other fields that involve her mission, and most of all loves her musical family.
