A native of Cleveland, Ohio, Cathy began taking piano lessons at the age of seven and by high school had landed the lead female role in “Jesus Christ Superstar”. At the age of eighteen she was working with nationally acclaimed Al Serafini Orchestra and later joined the jazz vocal quartet The Snapshots. Her performances often brought her in front of the likes of music legends such as Natalie Cole, Sara Vaughn and Paul Anka.
After moving to New York, she joined the Dimensions with band leader Lenny Dell, and performed with them at The Beacon Theater. Her live New York radio broadcasts include the WNEW-FM Jazzbo Collins Show and the CBS-FM Don K. Reed Show. Cathy’s voice can be heard on the Sesame Street recording, "Big Bird Discovers the Orchestra", which was nominated for a Grammy. She was a featured vocalist in the jazz vocal ensemble Sister Swing, and performed at many New York venues including Windows on the World and the Lincoln Center Summer Concert Series. Cathy has recorded with master guitarist Gene Bertoncini, guitarist for Nancy Wilson, and the renowned pianist Ray Cohen, who worked as Frank Sinatra's pianist for many years.
Cathy has written many original songs including "Beautiful In Blue", which won the Akademia Music Award for Best Country/Rock original song in January 2015.
